Rickety Table Tea
Rock forth, rock back
rickety table tea. Blood red,
yet tastey as can be.
Trains barrel by,
hear them I do.
Don't really care what is
in them, where they're going,
or where they've been through.
Too tired to wonder, too tired
to speak, yet awake I am again wanting to do both,
not a wink tonight I fear I will sleep.
To those who roam the night, may you
be cheery and blessed. A bed kept warm with a
teddy bear or a lover's caress.
What about me? I'll sit here and
just be for now, keeping solitarey company
with my music and rickety table tea.
